Year 12 Welsh Baccalaureate students demonstrated their entrepreneur skills as part of their Working with Others module by raising £1730 in six weeks!
This achievement was no mean feat and involved the planning of a range of activities including coffee mornings, raffles, cake and crepe stalls, a Christmas fete and various in-house competitions. The students worked in groups taking responsibility for launching ideas, marketing, budget planning, organising events and reviewing and evaluating their success. They demonstrated their ability to negotiate, communicate and work in a range of environments. Challenges and obstacles were overcome through perseverance and the determination to achieve success.
Money raised is to be given to a variety of charities including Help for Heroes, Macmillan, Barnados, Cafod, Leukaemia Research and HCPT.
