Charity at SJHS

This year, Year 10 raised £4745.68 as creative and innovative entrepreneurs, producing and selling handcrafted products. With over 50 stalls, Year 10 sold a variety of products ranging from, drinks and sweet cones, to jewellery and interactive games. We were very fortunate to have Lisa Miller from Velindre Cancer Care and a very special guest, ex Welsh Rugby Player Morgan Stoddart, an ambassador for Velindre, join us at the Enterprise Fayre. Thank you to all involved for supporting this great cause. A huge diolch yn fawr to our wonderful SJHS family for raising money for Velindre Cancer Care, a very worthy cause.

Our Charity Leaders will attend a school conference, bringing together all the good ideas for raising money towards their year groups charity, these ideas will be discussed during form period. We will also be holding our first ever 'ENVIRONMENTAL LEADERS CONFERENCE', so watch this space for some amazing ideas and exciting charity events.
Some of the activities we have carried out to raise much-needed funds for worthwhile causes in the past are sponsored walks, climbing the equivalent of Everest, "I'm a Teacher, Get Me out of Here", quizzes, raffles, splat the teacher, hunger lunches, fairground stalls and lots and lots more. It is always, always worth the effort.
